This multi-activities event celebrates human rights through creative practice with a mini-symposium, artistic interventions, and a performance with music and spoken word, followed by food and drinks. The event gives an opportunity for discussions and artistic interventions, reminding us the courage can be found in creativity and small acts of connection. Part of the Rights Through research project at Goldsmiths and the Refugee Week Festival 2026.
The event presents:
a round-table sharing observations and future plans of the Rights Through workshops with our partners;
a panel of acclaimed guest speakers, including Dr Molly McPhee (Theatre and Performance, Goldsmiths), Dr Aurelia Guo, Dr Nana Ververopoulou (Kingston), Dr Daria Lynch (Migration Museum).
artistic interventions, including the film screening of the short film Pomo D’Orographies by Francesca Paola Beltrame and an installation on Palestinian films by Hanya Aljamal;
a musical performance by talented young artists with experiences of migration curated by Galina Juritz.
Food and drinks will accompany informal discussions and moments of socialising throughout.
