"One Weird Trick, refuses to settle into any single space. This music is lush and inviting, pulling listeners through ambient expanses... with a restless intelligence....The way she composes is smart and infectious. One Weird Trick is a little bit of magic in the world."
- Another Weird Trick with Galina Juritz By Brad Rose, Foxy Digitalis, December 8th, 2025

"[Galina Juritz] ...creates a kaleidoscopic sonic universe that defies traditional labels. One Weird Trick features ambient landscapes, techno vibes, jazz influences, and orchestral minimalism, all interwoven with a chameleon-like talent and a magical touch. Her music, rich in emotion and unexplored spaces, transports listeners on a journey through surprising and unsettling soundscapes." - Rapide #46 - Radioaktiv, January 4th, 2026

Here’s my go at defacing the lovely ‘Bronze Pears’ from Richard Greenan and Mr Beatnick’s album Coasty

Commissioned by Dr Sean Baumann, who wrote the libretto, and in collaboration with Dizu Plaatjies, Galina ‘s first cantata had a 2-week run at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town 2017.

A stringy collaboration with the dreamy producer Kelpe

Some more string arrangements for Richard Greenan and Mr Beatnick’s album ‘Coasty’.

SWIMS presents the disruptive dream-team of Kit Records founder Richard Greenan, Buenos Aires based cello experimentalist Violeta Garcia, and South African violinist and composer Galina Juritz.

"Esperando a Florian" is the result of Violeta's London residency in 2022. Recorded in one take, and with a simple setup of violin, cello, bass guitar and analogue synths; the music is a tender conversation between three voices, pushing and pulling at the edges of dialogue, hesitance and reflection.

“For the Duration of this Cloud” is a compilation album of new works written by young South African composers, from all walks of life, for clarinet, cello and piano, blending together classical, electronic, rock, and traditional Southern African music. Recorded live at Sound & Motion Studios, Cape Town, this album is made possible by the National Arts Council of South Africa.
